Frequently asked questions
What ages do you take?
From 6 weeks to 5 years. The house has one mixed-age group.
Can I see the house before I decide?
Yes. Book a tour and come with your child. It takes about half an hour, and you can ask anything.
What does a day look like?
Arrival, play in the living room, a snack and a lunch cooked here, a nap, the yard and pickup. It's all on the day page.
What does it mean that the home is certified?
That DELC, Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care, has certified this home to care for a group of children in a family home. The certificate number is at the bottom of every page.
How many children are here at once?
Up to 10 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, with 2 adults. The board on the safety page says the same.
How does tuition work?
It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the days a week. Zoya gives you the figures in writing at the tour. The tuition page has the rest.
What if my child is ill?
We ask that your child stay home with a fever, vomiting or diarrhea. The family policies say when your child can come back.
Who may pick up my child?
Only the adults on your written list. We ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
What happens if Zoya is ill?
Zhanna runs the day. If neither of them can, we text every family as early as we can.
Who else is in the house?
Zoya's own family lives here. The adults with the children during the day are Zoya and Zhanna, and we introduce anyone else who spends time in the house at the tour.
Do you share photos of my child?
Not without your written permission. The first answer on the family policies page says how we ask.
Do you speak Russian or Ukrainian?
Yes. Zoya and Zhanna speak Russian, Ukrainian and English, and families can write to us in any of them.
How do I join the waitlist?
Write or call us with your child's age and when you hope to start. When a place opens, we offer it in the order families joined.
Would you like to see the house?
Come for a tour with your child, or call us and we'll answer in the evening.
