Zoya Kovalchuk
Owner and lead caregiver
Zoya cares for children in her own house in Woodburn. She cooks lunch, greets each child at the door and talks with families in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Zoya grew up in a Ukrainian family and came to Oregon as a young woman. She began caring for children at home when her own were small, and she wants families to know her before they decide.
She keeps the day slow: a long morning on the rug, lunch at the table, a nap for anyone who needs one and an hour in the yard whatever the weather.
